Instructions

Peel and dice potatoes. Cook in chicken broth for 15 minutes until tender.

Meanwhile, melt butter in a separate pot. Cook diced onion and celery 5 minutes.

Add minced garlic and cook 1 minute. Whisk in flour and cook 1 more minute.

Slowly whisk in milk until smooth. Cook until thickened.

Pour the thickened milk mixture into the potato pot and stir.

Add diced ham and thyme. Simmer 10 minutes.

Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot.
