While pasta cooks, slice garlic very thinly.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat.

Add garlic slices and red pepper flakes, cook very slowly 5 minutes until golden.

Add 1/2 cup pasta water and let it sizzle.

Drain pasta and add to the pan, tossing to coat.

Add more pasta water to achieve a glossy sauce. Serve immediately.
